AJS presents Maharani’s headline show, Shakti: The Lotus Bloom – an immersive live experience celebrating her debut album Shakti, a bold exploration of divine femininity through a modern lens.

Blending South Asian classical textures with global R&B, Hip Hop, and Pop, Shakti reimagines the multidimensionality of womanhood – where love and creativity, beauty and power, softness and ferocity all coexist.

Co‑signed by Timbaland and featured on MTV News, London‑based Tamil artist Maharani brings Shakti to life through a transformative live performance, accompanied by the dynamic DrumShed.

The evening also features:

• Saloni – Winner of the 2024 Ethnicity Awards and featured on Rolling Stone India, as the opening act.
• Hashna – Bharatanatyam‑fusion dance choreography by viral dancer who recently performed with Usha Jey at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

About Maharani

Born in the Netherlands with Indian Tamil roots, Maharani is a multilingual singer‑songwriter redefining global R&B. Blending R&B, Trap‑Soul, and Indian sonics, she creates a sound that bridges continents – rooted in culture yet unmistakably modern.

Her mission to pioneer a new sound earned her a co‑sign from legendary producer Timbaland, who praised her Tamil fusion track as “ground‑breaking for her culture” and said she “changed the whole narrative of their sound.”

Maharani rose to viral acclaim through her Tamixes – a social media series where she reimagined and rewrote popular songs in Tamil – capturing audiences across the UK, India, and beyond.

Her debut EP, produced by Itsyaboikay, received widespread BBC radio play and a feature on MTV News’ Bop Shop. Maharani has been championed by Spotify on major playlists like RADAR Tamil and has performed alongside major South Asian artists, including F1rstman and Arjun.
